HP:https://hachidori-denryoku.jp/

【Eng. Ver】

Hello and nice to meet you!

I am staff Tanaka, and I have been working as a student intern since spring!

I am mainly in charge of promoting the SDGs and helping with corporate management. As I am currently majoring in Global Issues at my University, I am very happy to be in an environment where I can make use of what I am studying on a regular basis.

Even if you are a student intern at this company, if you raise your hand and say, “I want to do this!”, then our CEO will answer, “Okay, then let’s try it”.

“TranceReal” offers the opportunity to do things that you cannot experience in your normal University life, which may be the most appealing thing about our company. ✨

Starting this year, we have made a full-scale declaration to promote the SDGs.

Although the “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” are a global scale issue, we can achieve them with the cooperation of each and every one of us.

As a first step, we held a study session to deepen our understanding of the SDGs.

The themes of this study session were “Social Business” and “Hachidori Denryoku”!

We had a visit from Ms. Yuki Ono, the representative of Hachidori Denryoku Company of Borderless Japan, Inc. The session was held online so that remote employees could participate as well.

Company Name: Borderless Japan, Inc. Hachidori Denryoku
Representative: Yuki Ono
HP:https://hachidori-denryoku.jp/
Main Business: Electricity Brokerage Business

Social business is a term that is still not widely known.
Mr. Ono says that it is “a business model that includes the people and regions that cannot be picked up by businesses that aim to pursue efficiency.

We learned that there are still many people in the society who have difficulty supporting themselves, and that we need a business model to solve social problems in order to rescue people and communities left out of the market.

For this reason, Borderless Japan’s Hachidori Denryoku is aiming to reduce carbon dioxide, which is said to be the cause of global warming.

The Hachidori Denryoku uses renewable energy sources that do not emit carbon dioxide!
Additionally, 1% of the electricity bill goes to a natural energy fund and another 1% goes to support NPOs and other social activities.

It is a social business that definitely cares for the environment!

We were all highly impressed with the company’s vision: “The power of every individual may be small, but is not powerless, and when that small power is gathered, it becomes a big power”.

Also, it was a great opportunity for us to think about what kind of initiatives we can do with “TranceReal”, and what kind of familiar initiatives we can start with.

Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit us, Ms. Ono!
